Orientation:

Content

  • 8 Lessons designed to shape students' understanding of the skills needed to write with confidence and flair.
  • Creative writing is writing about people, places and feelings and you using your observations on life and imagination to do this
  • In creating, the only hard thing is to begin ……
  • Creative Responses are an extension of personal judgements. Commenting on values, building up logical and systematic viewpoints from what has been read. The outcomes will be varied as the tasks required discovering relationships, anticipating endings, understanding motives and recognizing bias.

 

Create conditions for students to:

  • think imaginatively
  • respond emotionally
  • formulate new solutions to problems presented
  • relation situations with personal experience
  • speculate about future developments;
  • write in different registers (text types) depending on purpose and audience
  • Brainstorm ideas
  • Offer stiumulus and scaffolding
  • Learn to use Inspiration for your Concept/Mind Map
